Chelsea Maria Hough, better known as SOLACE, is an Emmy Award-winning choreographer, professional dancer, and creative artist based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Los Angeles, Solace has built an impressive career performing, teaching, and choreographing across the country and internationally.
She gained national recognition as one of the Top 5 ladies on So You Think You Can Dance (Season 15), and has since performed on major stages including the Billboard Music Awards, BET Awards, ACM Awards, CMT Awards, and the Latin AMAs. Solace has shared the stage and screen with industry icons such as Taylor Swift, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood, Pitbull, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, Kristin Chenoweth, and Dolly Parton. Her work extends to television and film, with recent appearances in Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas, the country jukebox musical May We All, and a featured acting role on the series County Rescue.
Last year, Solace brought her signature movement style to the gaming stage with a featured dance emote on Fortnite, showcasing her choreography to millions of players worldwide featuring Adam Mac's Dust Off Your Boots!
As a choreographer, Solace's innovative style has been showcased in major music videos, national commercials (including Fink's Jewelry), and live performances at events such as CMA Fest. She has also collaborated with a range of artists and corporate brands including John Summit, RedKap, COIN, Adam Mac, Harper Grace, SAyanna Jahneé, and The Artist Redd.
Aside from her performance career, Solace is incredibly passionate about education and mentorship. She teaches weekly at Millennium Dance Complex Nashville, tours annually with the Immerse Artists Experience, and continues to inspire and train the next generation of artists through workshops and conventions nationwide.
