Biography

Kourtney "Koko" French is a dynamic dancer, choreographer and creative force in the Nashville Dance Community. Born and raised in Nashville, Koko began her journey into dance at an early age and continued to nurture her craft through formal training, graduating from the Nashville School of the Arts where she studied under acclaimed teachers including Stacie Flood-Popp, Travis Cooper, Andre Fuentes and Erica Sobol.

As Founder and Creative Director of Ink Movement and Ko-Style Method, Koko has spent over a decade shaping original choreography and fostering artistic growth. Since establishing her company in 2017 and brand in 2023 she has directed and choreographed multiple full-scale productions, blending high energy styles with soulful storytelling. Her work reflects a deep commitment to movement as both art and purpose, rooted in a belief that dance can inspire confidence, connection, and spirit expression.

Koko's choreography has been featured in local and regional festivals and performances, including projects showcased at OZ Arts Nashville's Brave New Works Lab. She has also choreographed for prominent Gospel artists such as CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin, bringing her versatile approach and rhythmic intensity to large scale performance settings.
